<p>6-oxocyclohex-1-ene-1-carbonyl-CoA hydrolase is a ring-hydrolysing enzyme invloved in the anaerobic metabolism of aromatic enzymes by way of benzoyl-CoA, as seen in <taxon tax_id="59405">Thauera aromatica</taxon> [<cite idref="PUB00042973"/>], <taxon tax_id="28232">Geobacter metallireducens</taxon>, and <taxon tax_id="76114">Azoarcus sp.</taxon> (strain EbN1). Note that <taxon tax_id="1076">Rhodopseudomonas palustris</taxon> uses a different pathway to perform a similar degradation of benzoyl-CoA to 3-hydroxpimelyl-CoA.</p> 6-oxocyclohex-1-ene-1-carbonyl-CoA hydrolase
